Gimmick: There are three things that are important to Finn, and that's exactly in this order: his family, his love of fighting, and only then, his career. He's an unconventional fighter, and lives for the fight rather than relying on technical skills. He's not much of a friendly face, but nor is he an asshole -- he just prefers to work through his career alone than relying on others. That being said, he's learned from two different schools of thought: logic before aggression, and in contrast, aggression wins the day. He's made a hybrid form of both for himself, and you'll never know exactly which one you'll get. He likes to lay low, is generally quiet around the rest of the roster, and likes to strike when anyone least expects it. In ring, Finn is a crowd-pleaser -- he'll do anything, and everything, possible to get a crowd pop. Finn can either be a loose-cannon or a focused fighter -- it all truly depends on the level of dislike that is apparent for his opponent.
Pic Base: Andrew Biersack (Short hair circa 2013 - present)
Contract Deal: Full-Time
Entrance Attire: Additional black denim vest.
Theme Song: "Into the Fire" by Asking Alexandria
Entrance Description:
[The lights dim in the arena and cast the arena in a red glow, and for a moment -- only a moment -- the crowd quiets down just a smidge. The guitar riff opening that carries throughout the rest of Asking Alexandria's "Into the Fire" breaks out and brings the crowd to their feet -- both in a positive and negative reaction, completely mixed.
]
♫ TAKE 'EM ALL BACK ♫
[Just before the first line of the song, Finn Whelan has appeared not from the curtain, but from one of the visitor's entrances. He stops at the top of the steps for a moment, a slight smirk on his face as he glances at the people around him, and then sets his eyes upon the ring down below. He makes his way down slowly, ignoring the people around him though a few clap him on the shoulders as he descends.

♫ I'M NOT TOO SURE WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS
THESE HANDS, THIS MIND, THIS INSTABILITY
FROM A CAGE I CREATED, TO A HELL AND HEAVEN MADE
CAN'T LET GO OF THE HATRED
BECAUSE I LOVE THE WAY IT TASTES ♫
[At the barrier, he slings himself over and slides immediately underneath the bottom rope and leaps to his feet in the center of the ring. He heads directly for the ropes in front of him, and hops up onto the bottom one, bouncing slightly as he looks back at the crowd, choosing a few choice words to share with them. He drops down from it, and pulls off his vest as he heads to his place against the turnbuckle, leaning into it as his music fades out.]

Relationship: ___
Pic Base: ___
Gimmick: Describe their persona in a few sentences.
Finisher (Description): Revelation 6:4 (The Bitter End)
Alternate Finisher [Optional] (Description): Fenian Rising (Spinning Sit-Out Sleeper Slam)
Alternate Set-up [Optional] (Description): Usually used out of nowhere, especially if it looks like he's not going to be winning.
Alternate Finisher [Optional] (Description): Finnegan's Wake (Dragon Screw Neck Whip)**
Alternate Set-up [Optional] (Description): This is a move used to end major matches and feuds. Because of its highly volatile nature, it's not likely to be used on a regular basis.
Strengths:
1. AGILITY: Finn will never be the first to go down -- he grew up fighting, he'll go down fighting, and he moves like the wind -- especially with short bursts of stamina in a long match.
2. AGGRESSIVENESS: Although this could be considered a weakness as well, Finn is more aggressive than other fighters. He constantly feels as if he has something to prove, and thus, he tries (and usually succeeds in) wearing down opponents through any tactic possible.
3. OUTSMARTING: Despite his persona, Finn is fairly intelligent. He's meticulous in reviewing his opponents, and due to his smaller stature, often has to use ingenuity and intelligence in many of his match ups to overcome opposition.
Weaknesses:
1. RECKLESSNESS: He has ZERO regard for his safety, or virtually anyone else's. Once he's in the ring, the gloves come off and war begins.
2. ANGER: He has a temper -- Lord Almighty, he has a temper. It's the Irish in him. Even the slightest possible insult during matches, verbal or nonverbal, will piss Finn off entirely. There have been points where he's forgotten that there's a match in question and only wants to pummel the shit out of his opponent.
3. HONORABLE: Despite the prior statement, Finn has been trained with respect and honor as the ideals you should hold to in every match and encounter. He does not cheat, and would never be caught without integrity. While this would be considered a strength for some, this is Finn's weakness -- he believes that the other person should held to the same standard, and when they are not, he is usually knocked off balance. He holds to match rules, 100%, and that sometimes can be

Biography:
Early Life
Callien Finnegan O'Hanlon was born to Roinn and Meara O'Hanlon, a rather prominent couple from Killarney, Country Kerry, Ireland. His father created a brewery that served one of the better IPA craft brews in Seattle for quite some time, and his mother served dutifully as the family matriarch. Callien's childhood was the basic American upbringing -- he attended public school, he was educated fairly well, and he helped out quite frequently along with his sister, Addisyn, at the family's downtown bar. It wasn't until he was thirteen that he began rebelling against his parents, like any teenager trying to figure themselves out would. However, his father wasn't going to have it, and started pushing him out of family events, and stopped allowing him to work within the pub. At fifteen, he was banned from going on trips with his family in the summer, and was instead shipped out to stay with Aunt Kelly, Roinn's sister and least devoted aunt who lived in England.
It was here, at fifteen, that Callien adopted his middle name "Finn" as his preferred name. He met fellow wrestler and miscreant Elena DeDraca, an orphan not much younger than him, in the middle of the Hyde Park. Not much is known about their friendship at the time, but Elena needed a friend, and Finn was able to provide that for her; the two engaged in petty criminal acts, but were never quite caught. When Elena's foster family was discovered to be abusing her, and she'd run from the family, Finn's last act in England was to literally burn their house down. Even now, he's still particularly protective of her, despite her proving time and time again that she doesn't need his help. Big brother syndrome, if you must.
He was meant to visit one more time just before turning eighteen, but that never happened. Roinn and Finn had it out in the middle of the O'Hanlon Pub -- Finn refused to accept responsibility for his behavior, and refused to state he was going to help take the family business. Despite Meara's and Addisyn's arguments, Roinn kicked his son out of all their lives to live out on the streets. There was no more family, and no more Elena. He was by himself, entirely.
The kid, resentful and anger-driven, did what most street kids do when they've lost everything dear to them: he turned to drugs, and alcohol and whatever else was the flavor of the week. He picked fights with dudes over the smallest of things, and more than once ended up in the hospital. Finn's biggest motivation? He didn't care. About literally anything.
SPWA and Combat Syndicate
Despite Finn's stupidity, in 2012, he met an independent wrestling circuit competitor by the name of Aaron Asphyxia (a multi-time champion in various promotions not part of this circuit) at a gas station on the side of the Interstate 405 in the middle of a gas station. Despite her ability to defend herself, another homeless man attempted to mug the remarkably tiny wrestler, and Finn stepped in. If there was anything that he wasn't going to see, it was another idiot attempting to accost a "defenseless" girl. Aaron, in appreciation, and completely against her friend's advice, drug Finn back to a restaurant, gave him food and suggested that he do something about himself that was productive. She worked at Seattle Pro Wrestling Academy for a brief stint, and at that time, began training him without allowing him to pay, put him up in an apartment.
Silly love story short, they married in 2013 -- and still are. Aaron is currently pregnant with his kiddo, due in April.
He was also trained, between 2014 - present by Kei Hideshima, a former world champion in 2006 of a now defunct wrestling company, and owner of Combat Syndicate, which has various branches across the United States and Japan. Kei's mentoring status, however, goes far beyond simplistic wrestling skills -- he is a shateigashira in the Yakuza, or a second lieutenant. He's taught Finn well, but at the price of the mentee "helping" in his little jobs when requested. Finn hates it. Just so we're aware.
Lesser Wrestling Career
For years after that, Finn dinked around in various promotions that didn't last very long. He joined the first inception of Honor Wrestling in August 2016, and made it through to the semi-finals of the Honor Championship Tournament, losing to [REDACATED DUE TO NDA]. After that, he joined Epic Online Wrestling, and was in the finals for their top championship, but the company folded rather quickly, putting him out of a job. He joined his "sister", Elena DeDraca, in Phoenix Wrestling after reconnecting with her in the sport. He rose quickly, and faced off against Anastasia Starling for her Rising Phoenix championship twice, failing both times to capture it -- though coming extremely close every time, battling her to near the end of the ten minute match. In November 2017, he left Phoenix.
So-Cal Ultraviolent and World Wrestling Headquarters
Probably his most prominent promotion, Finn wrestled for the San Diego company from February to it's closure in August. He rose quickly through the ranks, and through various battles, he became the first contender (besides Ashtyn Rave, who earned a shot for the belt prior to his appearance) to Reece Crosslin's Ultraviolent Championship. Much of the decision, however, was created on the outside by Kei Hideshima, who worked against owner Julian Cortez in order to secure Finn's chance at the championship by extortion and the kidnapping of Alejandro, Cortez's son. It was, however, mostly earned by Finn's record -- after participating in sixteen shows, his record carried more wins than losses*.
Just two shows before their Pay Per View battle at So-Cal World War, Reece and Finn's cooperation and cordial colleague status shattered. The match, and show, ended in chaos. Aaron, who had been estranged from Finn due to personal family issues, had come back to support him, which Elena didn't approve of whatsoever (resulting in their match at So-Cal World War). They finally had it out during the match themselves. Also during their match, as Finn --who'd finally gotten pissed off at Reece's resiliency and refusal to back down-- pummeled Crosslin in the head repeatedly, Samantha Baltimore (Crosslin's pregnant girlfriend) climbed the ropes, trying to yell at Finn to stop. Hideshima took the opportunity then to grab Sam from behind and toss her into a set-up table. This stopped the match completely, with Reece thinking Finn was trying to win the match by any means, and setting up a bitter rivalry for the Pay-Per-View. Despite valiant attempts to capture the championship, Finn was unable to win the title from Crosslin. Two weeks later, the company closed its doors.
During that time, Finn joined World Wrestling Headquarters, intending only to participate in the Shogun Tournament, beginning in June, competing for the Showdown brand. The winner of the entire tournament obviously not only won accolades, but a shot at the company's top championship. Viewed as a nobody, Finn played the underdog gimmick well, and beat not only almost every single person in the tournament, but also captured the Wildcard Championship (their version of an Ultraviolent title) from [REDACTED DUE TO NDA] in a battle that Finn viewed as redemption for himself for losing to him almost a year before. In his tenure with the company, he defeated not only the highly-acclaimed former World Champion, Kat Jones, but also the winner of the Hellsgate Brand side of the Shogun Tournament, and Union Battleground Season One competitor, Mikey Svarro, at the culmination of the tournament. He secured the win for the Showdown brand, and also a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, a chance that expires at the beginning of the next Shogun tournament. His record in WWH was unprecedented -- as a competitor, out of the twelve matches he competed in, his record stood at 12-1. As a champion, he was undefeated. He vacated the title in November 2017.
Despite taking a step back from the company, and wrestling in general, Finn still secured End of the Year awards. He still has the championship shot in hand, and intends on competing for it before June.
Present Situation: Union Battleground
However, citing a change of pace, Finn comes to Union Battleground looking for another chance to rise to prominence, as well as compete in an environment less toxic than prior companies. His goal is not to cause problems, but to fight. And like any competitor, he wants to bring his Ultraviolent nature to another company in an attempt to secure a piece of the promotion's wealth and capture another championship to add to his collection.
