SEPTEMBER 15, 2017 A RANDOM OFFICE SPACE FOR “THE RYDER REPORT” PODCAST WASHINGTON, D.C. NOON CAMERA: OFF
VOICEOVER: “YOU ARE LISTENING TO THE RYDER REPORT!”
NOAH RYDER: Welcome to The Ryder Report, I am Noah Ryder, alongside me as always is my tag partner if you will, Ethan Alvarez.
ETHAN ALVAREZ: I’m here somewhere...
NOAH RYDER: You’re here. I’m here. Let’s not waste anytime, let’s get to it. Today we have Union Battleground’s newest star, Axton Pierce, and this guy… wow!
ETHAN ALVAREZ: Dude’s insane.
NOAH RYDER: Here’s a guy that comes out of nowhere, right? And he makes his debut on the season finale of L!GHTS OUT, which was a great show overall. I loved the show. He comes in, first match of the card, his debut. He defeats “The Wrestling God” with this spin kick. An ordinary spin kick. The last thing you’d expect to be a finish, but it’s HIS finish and he makes it look bad-ass. You ready to bring him in, E?
ETHAN ALVAREZ: Let’s do it!
NOAH RYDER: Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bruiser from the Pool… AXTON PIERCE!
From the hallway, Axton Pierce walks into the interview area to claps from the crew. He greets the hosts before sitting in his seat as he puts on a headset.
NOAH RYDER: Welcome, sir.
AXTON PIERCE: Thank you lads for having me.
NOAH RYDER: I’m going to be totally honest right now.
AXTON PIERCE: Ok… Should I be worried?
NOAH RYDER: You can even ask, Ethan. It’s nothing bad, it’s just when I saw you in person…
ETHAN ALVAREZ: He was scared.
Axton starts to laugh.
ETHAN ALVAREZ: Flat out saw the tats and your face… He was Horrified. Absolutely Horrified.
NOAH RYDER: Ok, it wasn’t that bad…
AXTON PIERCE: It’s actually funny you said that because usually I’m waking up at this time, so whenever I wake up like super early, because my definition of early is like 9 A.M. or somewhere around there. So, my bad if I scared you… it’s just mi face.
NOAH RYDER: But then I met you and we’re good now. Uhmm… Let’s start from the beginning, like way back.
AXTON PIERCE: I don’t think I can remember that far, so long ago…
NOAH RYDER: Nah, you’re alright. Let’s start with your Nationality. You’re British-American.
AXTON PIERCE: Yeah… The greatest mixture ever…
ETHAN ALVAREZ: Oh, why’s that?
AXTON PIERCE: I can talk to you now… in my American accent. And then, later my British accent randomly comes out.
ETHAN ALVAREZ: Oh, like umm… this girl from the Walking Dead. Umm… Maggie, not Maggie but the Actress who plays her.
AXTON PIERCE: Yes, just like Maggie!
NOAH RYDER: Which Parent is British and which one is American?
AXTON PIERCE: My mom is American and my father is British. Mom’s from Providence, Rhode Island and Dad’s from Southport, England.
NOAH RYDER: So, you were born in Liverpool. Did you stay there long or did you move to America when you were young?
AXTON PIERCE: Uhmm… I stayed at Merseyside up until my parents divorced and my mom and I moved to Orlando, Florida. My dad ended up staying in Liverpool or something, I don’t know…
NOAH RYDER: I take it you and your father don’t have a good relationship?
AXTON PIERCE: Yeah, it was kind of my decision to do so. He’s done stuff in the past that’s kinda forced it. I vowed to myself to not follow in his footsteps. For example, my choice to be straight-edge.
ETHAN ALVAREZ: And that leads us into the next question about your straight-edge lifestyle, what lead to that?
AXTON PIERCE: Yeah, well mi dad was an alcoholic, and it always showed. It showed in his actions. I hated his actions and more than happy I didn’t follow in his footsteps. Honestly, I never saw a reason to drink. It was kind of that thing that every kid I knew did at parties, I never really understood what was cool about getting drunk, thus I never did it.
NOAH RYDER: I saw the promo for your debut with the whole theme behind the so-called “violent nature” of straight-edgers and how you kinda embrace being told that. What do you think about that whole idea of people calling straight-edgers “violent” and tell us about how you embrace this style in the ring?
AXTON PIERCE: I mean, like you said, i embrace it. Most of us aren’t as violent as some people may think, we just live life and get tattoos and avoid drinks and what not. A perfect example of me using that “violence” would be my match with Anton Chase, you saw it in my strikes, I also have martial arts to thank as well. Don’t be surprised if I use the same technique in my match this Sunday.
NOAH RYDER: Speaking of which, COUP DE GRACE, LIVE! FROM VERIZON CENTER, THIS SUNDAY! And Axton here is facing off in a Battle of the Bunker match to the determine the #1 Contender for the Trench War Title, currently held by Emery Layton, but that could change, I don’t know. But going back to your match, we’ve got: Trixie, Camila Martinez, and Isaiah Elliot. All involved in the match alongside, Axton Pierce. I’m shocked, more than anything…
AXTON PIERCE: Me too. I mean, I say that because I just had my first match, not too long ago. Like it was a great match, good match for my debut. Do I think I’m worthy of joining a match with… Veterans to determine the #1 contendership for the Trench War Title… No, I don’t. But… will I fight to overcome every single person in that match and become #1 Contender… you bet your ass I will. But, I gotta admit… I gotta bring my A game. You thought you saw all there is to me at L!GHT OUT? Not a chance. I joined Union because I wanted to make a name for myself in the big time. Axel Graves saw something in me when he signed me and that means a lot to me. The fact that I’ve received this opportunity, means I’ve made a great impression and I can’t screw it up - even if I don’t win… scratch that. Come Sunday… I will prove that Axton Pierce is NOT a one hit wonder. Axton Pierce is more than the Straight-Edge Bruiser from the Pool. Come Sunday, Axton Pierce WILL be the #1 Contender for the Trench War Title.
NOAH RYDER: There you have it. The Bruiser from the Pool and, hopefully, the #1 Contender after Sunday, Axton Pierce. Thank you for stopping by, hopefully, we can do this again sometime because I’d love to talk to you again.
AXTON PIERCE: Yeah sure, man. Let’s do it! Have your people call my people. I’ve been fun.
NOAH RYDER: Awesome! Ladies and Gentlemen, that concludes this podcast. I’ve been Noah Ryder…
ETHAN ALVAREZ: And I’ve been Ethan Alvarez….
NOAH RYDER: Until the next time our voices, meet your ears… PEACE!
VOICEOVER: “THIS HAS BEEN THE RYDER REPORT!”

INT. TRIXIE'S HOME - LIVING ROOM - SEPTEMBER - OFF CAMERA
Inside Trixie's home we see her with a pen in hand, nibbling on the tip of it. Blissfully unaware of her friend Brad's lack of interest in her old matches as he gazes on her lips over the pen. But her mind is sharply focused on reviewing her past. The file she's currently viewing is a mash up: TRIXIE4WAYSMASHUP.MP4.
She scribbles something down viewing her four way win in ECWF, where she hits her shining wizard on her opponent whom had just taken out another opponent to win. In Honor, her opponent Katie applying a submission on Dahlia, a humongous woman, open to Trixie's big strike that knocks Katie royally out. Trixie takes the notes down with care and cunning, relieving her wins, her four way past before she stands up. Brad sharply awakens from his watch to look at the TV.
Brad Archer: "Errr, yeah. You did a right good job against those guys, Trix.”
TRIXIE: "Thank you, Brad.”
Trixie stands up as she picks up her Trixie Championship and sets it on her shoulder. Glazing her fingers over it with pride for her last accomplishment of defeating Anton Chase in Union. The loss to Kimitsu not getting Trixie down but clearly humbling her from her flirty self to a concentrated cat. She leaves Brad in the living room and heads to the training room in her own home. One built so she could train at home when she needed to.
INT. TRIXIE'S HOME - TRAINING ROOM - SEPTEMBER - ON CAMERA
In front of a ring with pink ropes, Trixie stands with her Trixie Championship firmly on display in her denim mini skirt with a black tank top to match. Holding her title with such closeness before she moves it aside to reveal the silver Coup De Grace design on her tank top. She smirks as the confidence returns to Bad Kitty.
TRIXIE: "Coup De Grace…A Stroke of Grace or Blow of Mercy says google.”
Trixie sets down the phone she used to google the meaning behind it. Setting the phone down on her black ring canvas that featured her name written in bold letters along the sides.
TRIXIE: "But I think come Union Battleground's final PPV on the books, it could totally be the night Trixie beat not one, not two, but three competitors in one match. The Woman of Salvation, the newcomer Axton Pierce and then the fierce Striker Elliot.”
Trixie nods as she acknowledges the latest mash up of opponents she's got ahead of her. She'd currently faced four ways in other places and the experience shows with her calm demeanour, taking the match in such stride as she holds the Trixie title on her shoulder, hinting to the audience she was ready to make the title Union gold.
TRIXIE: "The real question is when do I deliver the Coup De Grace in this four way match, when do I become the contender for the title match. I know I can do it, I've won 90% of the four way matches I've been booked in so I'm more than capable on experience.”
Trixie then holds up her three fingers. No rings, no paint on her nails. Basic and natural to the camera as she wiggled them just a little bit.
TRIXIE: "The three opponents tonight are really pillars of my Union Battleground tenure
Camila, Salvation. It's no secret to any fan of this company that she's one I'd love to superkick and score the win over. Beautiful Storm and Salvation could be seen as one of the cogs that started the Battlions division and how cool, how totally cool will it be to see the woman of those teams thrash into each other one more time? I know I'm looking forward to it, to deliver a rather merciless end to her trail here in Union Battleground.
Then there's the newcomer Axton Pierce with his one victory over…Anton Chase. He may be my Wrestling Nemesis. The joker to my Batman. I've got the final win in my saga over Anton, so I'm not just about to let this new man walk in and cut down months and months of work I put it! I put in to restoring the Trixie title. No way, not going to happen. No!
As for Elliot, the striker as I called him; he's simply the male version of me. Thriving in Union.”
Trixie changes the title over to her left shoulder while pursed with her lips at the thought of both Elliot and Axton.
TRIXIE: "Cute as they may be, sorry boys, but the Trench War title is something I've been wanting since Anton took my title shot for the Union Title from me in my debut. I've gone on one hell of a journey since then. Knocked him aside, put my building into the Battalions division, but with Tornado away, it's time to come full circle. To finally claim a right to the Union Battleground Championships.
So if either of you believe you are walking out with the future title shot.”
Trixie chuckles into a light giggle.
TRIXIE: "No, just no. That's my title shot. Oppose me and suffer superkicks to every inch of your body. Trixie footprints all over you. With an opportunity like this in a fatal four way, all my four way matches are feeding into this one, one match up. Unionising my experience for this one opportunity to be, to face Zombie or Emery for the Trench War title. Battle in the Bunker, Sergeant Trixie is reporting for battle. Codename Superkick Sentry Gun and a load of ammo to fire at my pillars until they're collapsed rubble at my feet. Because I hit harder than any other, with some sheer speed that makes your skin bleed.
My speed is what has made me the unofficial "Fatal Four-Way Femme Fatale", Deadly in these matches. Fastest Superkick in the west, you boys won't see it coming before it's smushed into your sternum or back or knee to leave you breathless and unbalanced. Camila, you'll certainly be the perfect one I leave my final mark on, my killing blow, my…”
Trixie simply uses her hand to underline the grey font of her shirt: Coup De Grace. Turning around the tank top has another bit of text written in the tramp stamp region. Zooming in as Trixie rests her title on the ropes it reads: Armbar.
