First off, I know I've said it a thousand times, but I want to thank all of you for sticking with this fed, especially those from the beginning. You all are great writers and it's been a lot of fun watch this thing unfold. And I want to thank those who have helped out in match writing and the creative side of things. I'm a guy who loves to bounce ideas between people, and feel like it creates a better brainstorming session.
We've seen a lot of great storylines unfold and a lot of characters develop and evolve. But, there was definitely room for improvement. As I've said before, this was my first run in the efed game in over 15 years, and there was a lot of rust and holes to be filled in. But we trudged along and I felt like we had a pretty successful season overall and can look back on this a build on it.
Periodically, I am going to be releasing some info about season two. I've got a list of things I want to improve on to make this a better run machine and as always, I'm open to suggestions. There's a few new (to the fed) concepts I want to roll out for season two that will make things more fun as well.
One thing I want to bring attention to off bat, I will be talking to you all individually about your interest level of coming back for season two. For season two, I will ask that you all resubmit applications, but I will create an application template for the board, so you all have the control to edit it as needed. I got terrible towards the end about putting people's bios up on the site, and I think this will be a better solution.
Once I get a head count on who will be returning, I will then scout around for some fresh faces. I've been in talks with a lot of people who applied towards the end of the season and hopefully they will fully commit for season two.
As of now, I tentatively have the first show of season two scheduled for January 12. I've mapped out the show dates already to better fit my swing shift rotation, which will hopefully help to cut down my tardiness of posting shows. I will be fine-tuning the rule book as well, and I think the biggest change will be a steer at a more competitive RP judged format, with a majority emphasis on character developing over categories like "shoot/trash talking promo". The idea behind this is that I fell in love with the Unleashed fed's format of being a more "creative writing" style as opposed to "shoot or trash talking" style which allows writers to really develop a character that people can get behind.
That pretty much sums up all I have to say at this point. You all will probably see this board gets jacked around once in a while as I revamp some things on here as well as the website.
I'll leave you all with the winners of all of the categories in the "Valor Awards". Take care everybody, I'll be keeping in touch.
