I'm new, but I agree with everything that has been stated thus far. 3-5 match card with fully written results. Keep it tight, like an episode of LU or NXT. Mind you, in those shows, not EVERY person on the roster wrestles or even appears in a segment. And again, as said above me, if a handler REALLY wants more matches, then they can volunteer to write matches or, in the same vein, if they want their characters to wrestle on every show, they can write their own matches.
HOWEVER, and I'm not sure how things are done here, but one of the matches can be a multi-person cluster fuck sort of like what TNA do with the X-Division every episode ...or what WWE did with the Hardcore division. Okay, now I'm just brainstorming here and maybe the following stuff will belong in the suggestion thread, but perhaps there can be another prize or something that gives reason to have multi-person cluster matches more often. Like a hardcore title with its own rules, an X-division like title that feature multi-person matches or, what I saw once, have a MITB-like reward, but it is only for new folks. When there is a period where there are a lot of new folks, you put this pass for a title shot of some kind on the line in a multi-person match. The person that wins has a small window to cash it in (like three or five episodes) and once it is cashed and you have a bunch more new people, you put it on the line again.
My point is that there can be ways to day less matches, but find ways to get more people on the card AND for it to have some kind of purpose.
