COMING SOON
Relationship: A former priest saved by Nemesis whose vowed a life-long devotion to Salvationâs cause.
Pic Base: Sinister Minister
Gimmick: Once the holiest amongst his fellow clergy men, Preacher turned to the bottle to mask his despair and loathing for the religious institution as a whole due to all of the hypocrisy and consistent sinning within. Nemesis literally found him on the side of the road in Season One and ever since then he has been a loyal subject to both Nemesis and Salvation as a whole.
Team Biography: The first ever stable of Union Battleground, Salvation began itâs path of carnage when it formed during Union Battlegroundâs Season One Pay-Per-View âFalloutâ with original members Camila Martinez, Kreature & Sinister joining Nemesis to crucify Drew Stevenson after Nemesis picked up the victory in front of a shocked and appalled Union Battleground fan base.
As the group began to gain momentum in Union Battleground after a short and successful feud with âThe Wrestling Godâ Anton Chase, they proposed to then Union Battleground Champion Dick Devereaux to join Salvationâs ranks, deeming him âThe Chosen Oneâ to stand side by side with Nemesis based upon him dawning their logo on his face, which Nemesis claimed was a result of him being subconsciously aware of his destiny to stand alongside Nemesis and Salvation. This proposal offset odd occurrences between Dick Devereaux and Salvation, including Nemesis helping Devereaux retain his Championship over Dillion Shaw at L!GHTS OUT #11, leading many to believe Devereaux had already struck a âdeal with the Devilâ.
At Guerrilla Warfare we would all get our answer as after Nemesisâ triumph in the Guerilla Warfare match, Devereaux made his way into the ring to celebrate with Salvation and then laid every member out, taking them by surprise and officially kicking off what would be voted on by their peers as the âFeud of the Yearâ between Dick Devereaux and Nemesis. While their feud began to gain a lot of traction, one member in Salvationâs failure began to pile up; Kreature. After losing an impromptu match to Dick Devereaux at L!GHTS OUT #13 and immediately following a loss to Xion Ben-Judah at L!GHTS OUT #14, Salvation attacked Kreature, drug him outside of the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia and sacrificed Kreature, burning him alive at the stake in the parking lot while a shocked TV audience and crowd in the stadium looked on! This was voted as Union Battlegroundâs âOh Shit! Moment of the Yearâ for Season One.
While the intensity rose in Nemesisâ war with Dick Devereaux as Salvation kidnapped Devereauxâs mentor and friend Kuk Killswitch to black mail Devereaux into accepting Nemesisâ terms for their Championship match; a 7th Circle of Hell Match, Salvation was also involved in the Battalion Title tournament with Camila Martinez and Sinister representing the group. They advanced to the Semi-Finals of the competition to face off against âThe Firing Squadâ consisting of Noah Reigner and Rumble Reyes at L!GHTS OUT #16 to determine who would go onto the finals of the tournament at Coup De Grace to go up against The Outliers who had already advanced by winning their Semi-Finals match. With the contest looking to be in their advantage, Salvationâs chances of winning were dashed by the interference of Dick Devereaux, costing them the match, forcing Sinister and Camila Martinez to have to face their leader Nemesis who had previously warned them that he wouldnât accept failure of any sort from them in this tournament. L!GHTS OUT #16 would also showcase a brutal and unstoppable brawl between Nemesis and Dick Devereaux that spilled out into the front of the arena causing even Union Battleground owner Axel Graves to get involved in an attempt to separate the two.
Coup De Grace brought upon many interesting moments for Salvation, firstly being them adding to their ranks with the introduction of Alexander Devin early in the show, who interrupted the entrance of Xion Ben-Judah. Devin beat XBJ down and tossed him into a dumpster by the entrance ramp causing Nemesis to come out and embrace Devin, followed by Nemesis setting the dumpsterâs interior on fire with XBJ inside of it still by a snap of his fingers! Now, with their feud at a boiling point, it was finally time for Nemesis and Dick Devereaux to square off for the Union Battleground Championship in a 7th Circle of Hell match, one of the deadliest matches this sport has ever seen and the brain child of Nemesisâ sick and twisted mind. The match was not only an absolute classic but saw both men put their bodies on the line without even a regard for their own well being! The match resulted in Nemesis picking up the victory to claim the Union Battleground Championship as Viduus Morta came up through the rings canvas from under the ring to impede Devereauxâs attempt at climbing the ladder to reach the Title, allowing Nemesis to claim it for his own and for Salvation to grown even stronger by adding yet another Superstar to their stable with Viduus Morta.
Salvation kept their momentum rolling through the offseason with Nemesis picking up a victory at Union Battlegroundâs Offseason Show âBurning Hammerâ in a Triple Threat over Dick Devereaux and UGWCâs Rogan MacLean but many were still wondering what Salvation would have in store for Season Two.
Union Battlegroundâs Season Two Opener âRelapseâ would provide us with some of those answers as the show itself opened to Salvation burying Mila Martinez and Sinister alive for their failures in the Battalion Tournament, kicking the two out of the stable in their own demented way. As the night continued on, the question on most peopleâs minds was; âWho would be Salvationâs third member for the Prisoners of Warâ match? As the main event progressed along and the first five entrants had already come to the ring, it was time for the final entrant and the man who would be replacing Sinister in the match-up; former SCW World Champion and Roulette Champion, âThe Furyâ Tommy Crimson! With the assistance of Nemesisâ manager Preacher and Viduusâ manager The Speaker, the team was able to get their hands on weapons and handcuffs enabling them to subdue both Johnny Vachon and Dick Devereaux while Kuk Killswitch was beaten unconscious and at Bruce OâNealâs discretion, the match was stopped and Salvation was awarded the victory but they wouldnât stop there as Nemesis then used the blood of his enemy Dick Devereaux to brand the Union Battleground Championship in Salvationâs hand imprint logo!
Salvation has only heightened their levels of aggression and violence it looks like while also strengthening the stable itself by adding some of the wrestling industryâs most formidable talent to their stable and Season Two has only just begunâŠmeaning they are just getting started!
