-I can't give much away since it was just a tapping, but spoilers say Blake could be walking away #andSTILL GWP World Heavyweight Champion. If those spoilers are just rumors perhaps this was just a dream?-
Just days earlier he'd challenged Emery Layton a match he knew was going to get press coverage. To a degree perhaps it was too much press coverage? As a side not to all his close friends suffering two loses outside his contractual obligations is starting to sink in. He thought it was such a big deal the man that challenges for championships, but what does it mean if he can't pull it together? The match with Emery was much more difficult than with Joe and yet somehow that match had prepared him. Even after fighting Emery and in a sense he guesses he gained her respect he finds himself liking that.
The week spent in the Windy City promoting what shows he is in as well as what he himself is doing was humbling. People were actually paying attention to him. All that time spent in a prison federation had screwed his perception. Now what sins he's done haunt him. The pain his body is in from the lack of rest is starting to weigh on him heavily. After the amazing match he'd put on with XWA Supreme Champion Emery Layton just days earlier in the week how was he going to top things?
He still went throughout his days waiting for the next training session, the next dinner, bedtime, the next fight. Words were exchanged questioning him as the GWP World Heavyweight Champion. The company is shut down, so therefore the championship means nothing? It was not just because he is champion Blake took offense to this, but the men that devoted days of their lives just like he does to get to this title only for it to be swept out from under them. The corporation that owns the rights to the belt has made and agreement with him, the title is still active and Blake knows that in this title fight he has no choice but to win.
"Why did I request a casket match?!"
The fight was ugly, the only other man to hold the GWP World Heavyweight Championship had a lot of resentment and anger to get out and the champ was the perfect man to take it out on. The Chicago crowd rapidly got violent towards Body and his arrogant disrespect for what they came to see. Blake blocked him it seemed during very pivotal points, and he fought back with great resilience! Using his swift agility that Brody doesn't posses Blake took the upper-hand. Blake sat Brody in the casket and punched him viciously before slamming his fingers in it and shutting the lid on him. He fell to the floor emotion the champ was overcame with as he got such a great reception from the Chicago crowd. The entire match they had grown more and more rowdy to see Blake lock Brody up. Confetti swept down from the rafters, he was presented with the championship by the official and his wife congratulated him with a kiss. The local GM for this show approaches him with a microphone.
Zach Zmiz- "Well Archer, you better be ready to stick to your word. These people here in Chicago and all ACROSS Illinois will not let you forget it if you stray."
Blake: "Oh I will keep this title active, that's what the people want right?"
He holds the title up, he is still too tired to woop and hallar like normal.
Zach Zmiz- "Well champ let me know right now who is next?"
Blake: "Nobody. Right now I am going to take care of me. Sorry folks, and there is something I need to cross off my list for this year. The reason I joined Union Battle Ground. I know I can't just walk into a place and say Hey - Yo! Give me a title shot monkeys! Yea things don't work that way now days. Believe me, I won't forget my golden ticket that has gotten me this far."
He says kissing his title and than his wife again and giving the cameras a huge grin.
Blake: "This is my title now, you want it come and get it. As for the rest of you I will see you on my path to War. I am returning to TOKYO, JAPAN the only stop on the GWP where I lost. There I am competing for my next Golden ticket, a Warhorse Medallion. The rest all of you will have to tune in to find out about. WORLD CHAMP!"
He shouts and holds up his title celebrating with the crowd.
The next Night his Wife sits with him at the hotel in Washington DC where he is challenging another champion. She's noticed how much he has been depressed and he doesn't seem like his usual self.
Blake: "I am letting down the stars, I am letting down all the people of the past, and future. Last year was the year for my brother and he abandoned the sport. This should be your year, but instead I am out here for your honor. What type of king am I?"
He is his own worse enemy, right now the hole from his mother being gone for so many years has him trapped. Perhaps he is not good enough if people don't even seem to like him. His wife rubs his shoulders and rest her head on top of his.
Mary-Jane: "I think you need to have me with you more. A king is only as good as his Queen my love. The children will be find with Rain and Angel for awhile. You said that you wanted to be in Union Battleground to win that Trench War title, right? Well you don't like to give up so I will not let you. People will learn to like you or they are going to hate seeing you around so much because you just will not go away."
Blake: "Yea... you know me too well. You've always had a hard time getting rid of me."
Mary-Jane: "Yes I did. People misunderstand you a lot. Maybe it is time you stop letting them? I'll be there you won't need to be afraid of anyone, or the big bad wolf."
Blake: "Perhaps you are right. This will be my second time in Japan and I honestly can't wait. I am so happy you get to be with me this time."
He looks up and kisses her with the scene fading.
