♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫
The snow continued to come down in thick sheets, blanketing the city in a continuous rain of white. Few people were even braving the blizzard conditions, wanting to get that last particular thing before hibernating until this was over. Business was slow, not seeing many come in or out. Nestled somewhere deep within the city, sitting within a rather nice looking quiet neighborhood with houses scattered here and there, each looking to be bigger than the last, was one such house. Quiet, with few lights on. A car sat idle in a garage. Inside however, there was old classic rock music playing and a man casually laying on a couch with his phone settled onto his stomach, chatting away, seeming oblivious to what was happening outside.
”I’m not feeling like myself, and it disappoints me. I have a feeling that things might not get anywhere before they actually start. Skyfire has apparently gone the way of the dodo. Boss man hasn’t been heard from for weeks now. What do I do, if this falls through my hands like sand. I end up nowhere, which is not where I want to be.”
He was quiet, letting out a sigh as he listened to the voice on the other end of the line, hands clasped over his stomach.
This wasn’t really the way things were supposed to go.
Things needed to be said, and he was itching to deliver what he promised.
How much time he had, he didn’t know, but he was going to make sure he had the time, with or without Salvation’s blessing backing him.
Whether anyone listened or not, was up to how he delivered the message and how others took it.
Time to…rise.
