The scene opens on a shot of the Plovdiv Roman Theater, as seen from the very top of the auditorium. Slowly the shot pulls back to reveal this is as seen through a handheld camera, and we get an idea of whose behind the camera when the view pulls back to show Danny Colt just standing and admiring the view.
"Well, I think that it, Sarah. Becoming a wrestler is the greatest decision you've ever made for me."
Danny turns to look at the camera and then rolls his eyes when he sees the light is on. Behind the camera is Sarah Colt Danny's wife and manager. Danny just stares for a few seconds before he shakes his head.
"Really? You want to do this here? I thought we were just coming by to get a view of the theater before Lights Out."
"Come on baby. Can you think of anywhere better for The Colt Files second episode?"
Danny's mouth drops a little, and he looks towards the camera perplexed. After a few minutes, he reaches up and rubs at the back of his head, finally shaking his head and looking back towards her.
"What is it, Danny? Do you really not want to do this now?"
"No, I mean....you're right. It'd be better to do this now. I just....The Colt Files?"
"Yeah every vlog has one, I just thought...it seemed fitting for us. Gives us a snatchy title to get peoples attention."
"Oh, I get that. I just....well, The Colt Cases is right there."
There's a momentary pause, and Danny stares at the screen for a second, before an exasperated sigh can be heard behind the camera.
"Danny, would you like to call these vlogs The Colt Cases?"
"Yes. Yes I would. Please Wifey?"
"........Fine."
Danny almost lets out a loud whoop of victory, the sound any married man makes when he wins a battle, no matter how small. They come along so rarely. After a few moments though, the scene fades out to be replaced by some simple text.....
THE COLT FILES CASES: EPISODE TWO Anton Chase
the scene now fades back in on a shot of Danny sitting on the edge of the theater stage and looking up at the auditorium. Its clear he's deep in thought as he glances around and then turns his gaze towards the camera.
"You know, part of what I love about being a wrestler is that I get to travel the world, and do what I love with it. Now this is my first trip outside the good ol' US of A, and there are so many things that can blow my mind. From the lax airport security, to all the different people you come across, to just the cities themselves. So clustered and yet they never seem full. But, instead of letting myself be overwhelmed by it all, I find myself coming to places like this and just listening to the history of it, and it reminds me of how small I am in comparison to just about everything. See, this place right here, this is the Plovdiv Roman theater. It was made in 1AD. /One/. That's....this place is so old, that it's very steps could tell you stories captivating enough to keep you listening for hours."
Danny starts to head down off the stage and towards the auditorium, still speaking over his shoulder at the camera.
"See, back when this was built, the Roman's loved watching their sports, and nothing was more loved then Gladiatorial fights. Now, obviously Gladiator versus Gladiator fights were saved for the Colosseum, but at Theater's like this all over the country, they would have fights between Gladiator's and animals. Lions, tigers, Bears....Oh my."
Again Danny stops, this time at the base of the steps, turning back to face the camera, his arms held wide to show the very front seats and grinning.
"And two thousand and some change years later, the people sitting in this row, and all over this auditorium, they'll get to see fights as well. But it won't just be gladiator versus gladiator. No, they get a special show. They get to see the Kansas City Kid, Danny Colt, wrestle a GOD!"
Danny throws his arms up and bellows out God on the last word, arms raised to the heavens as he stands tall. He waits a few moments and then looks back down at the camera and whistles softly.
"I have to tell you, folks. I'm nervous. I mean, I'm just this little kid from Dodge City with a big dream. I stepped out into this world ready to wrestle anyone....but a God? In my second match? I don't....is he going to throw a lightning bolt at me? Are his feet as fleet as Hermes? Can he summon the power of water, or is he just a pissed off Spartan with two massive daggers and an anger complex? I don't.....I'm just a kid from Kansas, what rights do I have to question or fight with a God? I don't want to be smited, and I definitely don't want to seem like I'm a heretic. I got plans for Heaven. Me, Sarah, and a Bi-Curious Kate Upton stuck on a deserted island."
"Would you like to repeat that Danny?"
".....No. No I would not. Ya see, I got too much riding on this. I can't piss off a God. So part of me thought....maybe I need to walk out and lay down. Maybe that's what I need to do. God's testing me with a crisis of faith. Is my faith in wrestling higher then my faith towards God. And I gotta tell you, people...I had to actually think about that one. And a guy like me, when I sit down and actually think, that can take a good half-a-day before I'm ready to do anything else."
"You mean two or three days."
"Well aight, if you want to be specific I guess. Look, my point is, when I actually think about things, when I properly focus on them....I don't stop stop until I absolutely have too. And so the more I thought about it, and the more I went back and watched some Anton matches, the more I realised I wasn't the one in danger. But Anton Chase is. Cause Anton, ya ain't no God. You're just a false prophet. And that means not only can I fight you....not only can I beat you down, stomp on your head, and slap you seven ways from Sunday, but I can do it all with God's blessing. Because he doesn't appreciate anyone stepping in on his business.”
“Now, I ain't no heavily religious man. Me? I'm a Kansas Kid. We got taught respect for faith and manners at a young age. But it don't mean I'm going down on a knee for anyone but my wife. But I do believe in divine intervention. I do believe in symbolism. And when a man so clearly in need of being smacked back to reality steps across my path, in my very first match in Union Battle....well, I'll happily pass on the message for the big fella upstairs. And Anton, when I slap you upside the teeth, believe me you'll hear the message."
“Anton...I want to believe that your intentions were honorable. That you call yourself a God, because you believe that is the best way you can be close to your Lord. But I don't....there is a part of that understands, that ain't the case at all. That you call yourself a Wrestling God, because you genuinely believe you are /that/ good. And I just.....I have to tell you, I don't see it. Believing yourself on the level of God is hubris of the highest order. And how does that old saying go again.....uhhh....the bigger their ego—Nope, wait.....Too many ego---Nope, hang on....I'll get it.”
"Pride...."
"PRIDE COMETH BEFORE THE FALL! Thank you Wifey! Appreciate it.”
"You're welcome Hubby. Time to wrap it up."
"Right, Anton, what I mean to say is, I don't believe you are a bad person. I don't believe you have evil intentions. I do however believe you have an ass cavity that is your head sized. And I also believe, that this week right here in Bulgaria, it's going to be upto me to show you, that for all your bravado and gallantry, you are just a man. And not only can you fail? But this week at Lights Out....you will fail. You will fall. And when that final bell rings, the man getting his hand raised.....will be the Dodge City Dynamo. Until next time, thank you all for watching.”
Danny does some big cheesy finger guns at the camera, and the scene fades...to....black.

(The scene opens up and were inside of a hotel room, we see luggage bags placed on the bed wide open and viewable. We see casual clothes and wrestling attire. We pan around and we see Anton Chase, sitting on a chair and at a table. He has a laptop open and is viewing a video.)
"It's funny I think it's funny because at the moment wherever I go there are rookies coming out of the woodwork and trying to earn their place. Fulfilling their dreams of becoming a pro wrestler. It's funny because that's exactly what my opponent is trying to do this week at Lights Out #20. My opponent is none-other than Danny Colt."
(Anton brushes his long hair out of the way)
"Danny Colt is stepping out of his comfort zone of Kansas City into the big wide world of wrestling. Which for him at the moment is simple a dream of fame, fortune and to be able to travel the world. But he has no idea of what is about to hit him like a tonne of bricks. Because sooner or later Danny Colt you're going to realise if you're really up for this game. That you actually belong to be in the ring or simply fulfilling a short dream that has popped into your head while you was watching me on your momma's laptop. Thinking that you can do the things I do in this ring. But at the moment Danny Colt all you see is the glory of being a pro wrestler."
(Anton pauses)
"You haven't seen the strain that this business takes on your body. You haven't seen the strain that travelling all over the world takes on your mind. Even though it's a worth wild experience. You haven't felt that. You lace up your first pair of boots and think that you're ready. You're not. Not even a little bit. Because when reality hits you in the face that's when you're going to think long and hard if I want to continue this life sentence. And this business is a life sentence. I have sacrificed a lot to do what I do in the ring, to be great. I have sacrifice normality, I have sacrificed friends, family and everything else in between to lace up my pair of boots to be a wrestler. But not only did I succeed I also surpassed every expectations in front of me and that's why I have the reputation I have. I have the reputation of being a wrestling God because I EARNED IT."
(Anton smirks into the camera)
"Time and time again Danny Colt I enter the ring knowing I'm better than my opponent. That's the difference. I'm no longer nervous when I step into the ring. You on the other hand are a bag of nervous right now, you should be. This is your second match. And congratulations buddy, you could be facing some other unknown talent. But you've been granted a special moment in your life to be facing me. I can give you a bag of knowledge to pursue your career or I can single you out and make you realise that your dream of being a wrestler is already a failure."
(Anton laughs)
"You see Danny I believe in myself. I believe that no matter what comes in front of me I can knock them down and walk through. I can move the world from within the ring and I did it with style. That's why I am a wrestling God. And not the none-sense you believe. The none-sense you spewed is just typical of a rookie in which I've heard a thousand times in my career."
(Anton pauses)
"What you have spoken Danny I've heard before. I've heard worse and what I do is I beat my opponents. I knock them down and I move forward. Danny I have confidence in myself. That's how I have become a veteran. I bet on myself. Nothing is impossible for me. While you however have the world against you. You've only just started and you've got a mountain to climb. A mountain that you're going to fail in climbing. I'm gonna knock you down."
(Anton smirks)
"You may not be a religious man Danny but you're going to need to beg to Jesus himself for the amount of hurt that's coming your way. Not just the physical hurt but the mental hurt that you're going to experience. I have earned everything that I am. What have you done Danny?"
(Anton frowns)
"You've done absolutely nothing and have the balls to question me. That right there is another big mistake. A mistake that you're going to feel at Lights Out. Because you're dream of a win is not happening."
(Anton pauses)
"This week I get the pleasure of shutting up some rookie who believes he can beat me who believes he can slap me from seven ways from Sunday. But when the bell finally rings Danny Colt you're going to be the one laying flat on your back and watching me and my hand raised in victory, see you soon."
