It was late at night as the clock had struck two AM. It was a calm and relaxed night. Not a sound could be heard except the chill winter wind and the distant sound of thumping in the air. In the training center, just outside of Las Vegas, there was only one light to add to the city filled to the brim with nothing but neon.
Inside the training center was the young lion himself, Sakaguchi Kyoshi. The young Japanese sensation had had a week off since losing his opening round match against Alex Villiers and since that time, Kyoshi had spent every day of those fourteen days in the gym, training and honing his skills to the best of his abilities. Kyoshi may have lost his first match against Alex Villiers, but every loss was a lesson for the wrestler from the land of the rising sun. Kyoshi was a new wrestlers, but on that night he got outsmarted and outplayed. As a result he walked away with his shoulders pinned to the mat, he had learned a valuable lesson on in-ring mechanics. He was not going to let the same mistakes he made against Alex Villiers in the tournament get to him this time.
Kyoshi considered himself lucky. Villiers had suffered an injury in his match against Kyoshi and, as a result, had to give up his spot in the tournament. Sakaguchi Kyoshi had been granted a second shot at the coveted Union Battleground belt that he thought had since alluded him. But here he was, ready to fight one of the greatest wrestlers in WARPED history, Malcom Dred-Kng.
A chance to wrestler a legend like MDK was not an opportunity that Kyoshi took lightly and he was going to take that opportunity to wrestle and to learn from the great. He just hoped that he would be able to walk out of the match that night with the wing. But only time would tell. The truth was that King had years of experience on the fresh faced and new Kyoshi who was only going into match two of his professional wrestling career.
Would Kyoshi be able to overcome such a monumental feat? He didn’t know. Villiers had shaken Kyoshi on his first night, but this was a chance for redemption. It was a chance to regain the honor lost and prove to the world that Kyoshi belonged in Union Battleground. This was his second chance to prove himself to the world… He was not going to let that opportunity slip away.
