Act I, Scene I – “I Am Nemesis…”

We open up to skies as black as tar with grey clouds to match, which are suddenly lit up from behind by the strike of lightning while the crack of thunder roars through the heavens, yet it seems the storm is still coming as no rain is accompanying the thunder and lightning. The camera begins to descend showing us a broken down, decrepit structure which looks like time has taken it’s toll on, due to the white paint peeling back in most areas showing the grey of the cement that lies beneath. The camera moves into the still intact front door frame of the structure and we see an aisle directly ahead of us leading to a broken down alter and an up side down Holy Cross with a dark figure standing underneath it.
The camera begins to make its way down the aisle passing broken down pews and walls, which are vandalized with various gang tags, as well as the random “HAIL SATAN”, and swastikas left by the ignorant. The ceiling, or what remains of it, is not stopping the brightness of the lightning from entering due to it’s various holes ranging in size from small to quite big as we finally come to the three steps that rest in front of the alter. We move past the broken down church podium to where the dark figure stands with his head down underneath the upside down Holy Cross.
The figure is wearing black boots that show no laces but look to be made of leather, black cargo pants, a black zipper-less biker jacket with no shirt underneath showing us markings on his body reading; “HELP”, “I’M IN HERE”, “SOMEONE PLEASE!”, “GET ME OUT!” & “CAN ANYONE SEE THIS?”, as well as markings beginning at his neck and over his face as he raises it showing us the darkness that consumes this entity which is clearly now; “The Alpha & Omega” Nemesis.
“Mortals…”, Nemesis says nonchalantly gesturing to the manmade aspect of the destruction that lays before him
“Such peons, so feeble minded; to falsely idolize a man and his father, yet, at the first chance they get defecate the name and image of those they worship”, Nemesis declares as he kicks a half burnt bible in front of him
“The significance of the cross that hangs behind me upside down Malcom is quite overwhelming, as it seems to be foreshadowing our encounter”, Nemesis sadistically states
As Nemesis then turns around to face the cross he just spoke of, the broken down church, as well as the skies light up again with the brightness of lightning and the loud cracking of thunder to match, this time seemingly closer as the structure rumbles a little bit causing the cross to shake slightly.
“Through the viewership of Union Battleground, the destruction of mankind, beginning with the roster that one, Axel Graves, has compiled will be witnessed by millions worldwide, unfortunately for you Malcolm, the seal of your fate is the first to be broken and laid upon the sands of the earth”, Nemesis states seething with confidence and assurance
“Maybe this is why even the skies above me rage louder than your voice, as not even an echo of a whisper has come from you since Axel Graves announced your fate by pitting you against the ‘Harbinger of Revelations’”, Nemesis says obviously referring to himself
Nemesis begins to move forward with the skies once again roaring with the sound of thunder and the sight of lightning, yet this time from the angle we face, Nemesis’ shadow overtakes the upside down cross in a dark, eerie and mysterious way when the church is lit up with the bright light blue hue of the lightning which this time cracks a tree just outside of the church causing the top branch to snap loudly and slowly fall to the ground with the branch holding on by it’s last fibers to the tree.
“You see Malcolm, death comes in all forms, even to the tree that stands just outside, which holds the sole purpose of providing you mortals with life through creating oxygen, yet now it’s fate is that it will burn, be forgotten, wither away, then eventually deemed an eye sore and will then be cut down to be built over with the next ‘shopping mall’ for you to buy more fur coats, umbrellas and what I'm sure a tasteless mortal like yourself would refer to as ‘hip’ sunglasses”, Nemesis snarls unimpressed with Malcolm San Cross’ appearance
“How ironic that you hold the same fate as that tree, isn’t it Malcolm? At Lights Out, not only will you will suffer by my hand, but you will also be forgotten about and wither away into the abyss of irrelevance…and yet, you are just the beginning Malcolm”, Nemesis says with ruthless aggression in his voice
Nemesis now walks fully up to the cross, stroking the wood, even continuing to peel back certain spots where the dark brown paint is folding back revealing rotting wood.
“It seems as though my arrival to Union Battleground was a bit late as I missed entry into the World Championship tournament. No matter though, as I assure each of the four remaining ‘contenders’ that all that has done is prolong the inevitable; your destruction by my will and ‘The Alpha & Omega’ Nemesis attaining the Championship you mortals crave so dearly while you all rest at the foot of the throne I shall sit on…”, Nemesis speaks as he continues to creepily stroke the upside down cross enamored with it’s decay
“But every ending has to have it’s beginning, which in this case, the beginning of the end of Union Battleground is Malcolm San Cross for all of you to take in and view with your own eyes, more specifically; the men and women who plan to stand in my way or try to hinder the fate set out before you all”, Nemesis says as he stops stroking the upside down cross and turns back to the camera staring into the soul of the viewer
“Because while your commentators worry about their sex lives, while the Union Battleground staff is distracted by the delight of holding meetings with some irrelevant, insignificant, ‘has-been’ mortal…and while your whole roster is solely focused on obtaining either Championship gold or rekindling their problems they’ve allowed to seep into Union Battleground from the outside, I will not only lay out a path of destruction before me with the bodies of your roster, I will conquer Union Battleground while crushing the dreams and extinguishing the hopes of those who try to find solitude and build a legacy in Union Battleground”, Nemesis says as he begins to take a step forward away from the cross
Just then, a bolt of lighting strikes through the roof of the church and hits the upside down cross directly in the middle which begins a small fire in the middle of the cross, yet it still sticks to the wall as if some kind of force wants it to stand up to display the defamation of the cross.
“Is the devil you know, better than the devil you don’t? Well Malcolm, you and the rest of Union Battleground will find out the answer to that question next Wednesday because I am Nemesis…I am your down fall”, Nemesis says as he now begins to walk towards the camera
The camera remains stationary as Nemesis walks past it, with the cross now beginning to spread the fire throughout the wall of the broken down church it’s up against. The cross finally gives way and falls down off of the wall while the fire spreads, yet by some outer worldly force, the thunder and lightning we have been hearing the whole time finally begins to produce rain the begins to extinguish the fire that was beginning to gain some steam. We hear one more loud crack of thunder and have our vision engulfed in the brightness of the corresponding lighting which the scenes fades out to white with.
